While I was down for the Rumbler Show, I hung out at the shop. Aaron got his old 58 back and is working on some paint and trim, getting the car ready for the trip to Santa Maria. The blue truck is final assembly and looks sharp.
It was a great mix of Bombs, Rat Rods, Kustoms, and such, the weather was great. The show was a great success and lots of people came down to enjoy the cars!
On Saturday we went down to "Burque" for my friend Josh & Scarlett's Wedding. After the gig, we went over to visit the Boys at US Kustoms, but no one was home, I did manage to get some shots of Carlos Castro's 52 looking very sharp and an unknown 4 door merc, with a fucked up chop. Looks like the owner has been reading to much old school rod's?
So last weekend we went up to El Rito to an old junkyard that used to have lots of old Chevy's. My Homie Tapia was looking for parts for his 52 panel. When we found the place it had already been emptied of all it's cars. The guys told us they had been crushed several years ago. We were bummed, but they did let us walk the old yard, and they still had a couple junks that made for cool photo's.
